Olivier is a research director at Inria and leads the GreenOwl team (CNRS/Inria). A graduate engineer from the École Centrale de Lyon, Olivier also holds a doctorate in biological oceanology and an HDR.
A specialist in the modelling and control of micro-organisms in bioreactors, he has in-depth expertise in the use of microalgae and bacteria for environmental applications.
The author of more than 120 publications, he has supervised 16 theses and coordinated numerous national and European research projects. He has also developed software (ODIN and ODIN+), co-filed 12 patents and co-founded three start-ups.
As a member of EABA's Scientific Advisory Board, he benefits from an extensive network in the field of microalgae.
