Hubert has over 10 years' experience in the fields of microalgae and entrepreneurship. He has a double degree from INP-ENSAT, specialising in green chemistry, and from INSA Toulouse, specialising in white biotechnologies. He also has a doctorate from Sorbonne University in blue biotechnologies.

He has worked on the entire microalgae value chain, from optimising strains to extracting molecules of interest, including optimising cultivation at different scales.

In 2016 he co-founded the startup Inalve as Managing and Technical Director. He then managed production and enabled the scale-up of a disruptive technology developed by the GreenOwl team (CNRS/Inria), from laboratory scale to an industrial pilot that is unique in the world, functional and still in operation.
